Impact of structured Motion

For todays rehab and sports performance professionals working in todays saturated fitness marketplace of competing philosophies, certifications, processes, and fads, it can be very difficult to stand apart from the rest.

How can you be recognized as the best at what you do?

The only way to establish your practice and organization as credible and valuable is to build a portfolio of results. Clients want one thing, RESULTS.

Clients and patients are looking for you…

Clients want the best value for their investment. They want accomplished professionals that are trustworthy, that are capable, and are competent in producing their desired result . There are a myriad of choices for customers to choose, but ultimately they choose someone who can create what they are looking for.

Building a portfolio of results takes time. Program planning technology that is complicated, philosophies that do not include what is acutally happening with the persons movement, and techniques that apply to only unique situations do not support the change effort. Unfortunately they can cause the pracitioner to feel powerless, leaving the professional doubting their decision making and skills. Even worse, the customer may conclude their trainer or therapist is ineffective, unskilled, are incompetent. Overall, time is lost and oppurtunities to build a portfolio of valuable results are missed.

To get those results quickly, consider the role of Structuerd Motion in your existing practice. Through the application of design principles and performance improvement processes your talent and skills can be harnessed into a potent and productive system. Get results is what Structured Motion is all about.

Below is a sample of the results and the reactions by clients, patients and professionals to the practice of Structured Motion.

  • “My name is Dean Aclan and I am an occupational therapist working at the Alvarado Hospital. Earlier this year, I had the privilege of co-treating a patient with Greg Ulanday on the acute care floor.

The patient we worked with was admitted with respiratory problems and had a history of morbid obesity. Prior to our treatment the patient was seen by physical therapy for 3 days and required a second person assist with transfers and was unable to ambulate.

Mr. Ulanday led the treatment when completing bed mobility, sitting and standing balance exercises, and gait. Mr. Ulanday was able to sit the patient out of bed as well as ambulate the patient fifty feet without assistance from a second person.

Along with Mr. Ulandy’s use of his expertise and knowledge of proper body mechanics, it was his ability to convey his objectives in a simplified and respectful manner to the patient that allowed for the patient’s success.

After the treatment, Mr. Ulanday took the time to instruct me regarding his technique when completing out of bed treatment and overall safety awareness with proper body mechanics. The techniques instructed to me by Mr. Ulanday are ones I am currently applying when I am providing patient care, and has proven to be highly effective.”

  • “I have been working with Greg for over two years and the results have been fantastic.

After twenty years of suffering from back pain, low energy and overall neglecting my health and fitness, I decided to work with Greg. I have been impressed with Greg’s professionalism and technical knowledge. He assessed my condition, designed a fitness and nutrition program that was perfectly on target for my condition.

Greg made sure the program was challenging and progressed me at a healthy pace. I started feeling better immediately; my back pain subsided, I stopped taking pain medication and my energy level increased. I lost 40 plus pounds in four months. It was amazing how easily it came off.

For over twenty years, I tried over and over again to get in shape and lose weight with frustrating and dismal results. I wish I would have met Greg a long time ago.

Since that initial four month period, I have continued to train with Greg. He continues to assess my progress and adjust my training program so I continue to progress at a healthy pace. I am in the best shape since high school. I would recommend Greg to anyone who wants a professional, realistic and sensible fitness and nutrition plan that gets results. Thanks Greg!!

  • I recently utilized the services of Freedom in Motion to help me train my client better. After an initial evaluation and video analysis with Greg Ulandy, he helped me pin point weakness that I was not fully aware of. Greg thoroughly reviewed my clients mechanics, gave a detail explanation for the causes of his pain. Through a series of home exercises, Greg recommended, I was able to help improve my client’s motion, flexibility and balance his movements. I found Freedom in Motion’s program to be a positive benefit.!”

  • I am a physical therapist at a outpatient facility here in Fresno, Ca. I had the opportunity to work with Gregory Ulanday this past summer and was amazed at his ability to effectively improve his patients function. He quickly assesses their level of function and is able to get improvement with one treatment.

Most of all, I was amazed at his ability to get his patients compliant with their home exercise programs. I have never seen patients rush into a clinic to do their exercise program until now. His patients ranted and raved about how Gregory was able to explain the root of their injury and improve their overall function.

Many of them request to be treated by Gregory only! Being a therapist for 15 years I know that “special request” for certain therapist are common but, to the point that we had to have a waiting list to work with Gregory if there was a cancellation is unheard of.
With in a one weeks time, there was a buzz about this “new” therapist. Patients were giving feedback to the MD’s about their great progress and soon after there were requests that Gregory be the only therapist to treat their patient.

Many of the staff were coming to Gregory with their ailments and he would quickly asses, treat, and issue a home exercise program with in a 10-15 minute period. Gregory is open and willingly shares his observations and techniques. I can only explain his treatments as concise yet, very effective.

They seem simplistic in nature but, support the exact motion that he is trying to improve. I am amazed at the results that I get with what little was explained and shown to me. I only wished that he were still working here so that I could have learned more. I look forward to attending many of the classes that Freedom In Motion offer and highly recommend any therapist that is serious about improving their treatment skills to seek out this group and take a course or two.

  • “I must thank you and let you know that due to the kindness and considerate care I have received from the physical therapist, Jeremy Nelson, I have made great advancements in recovering from double total hip replacements. Both mentally by explaning the “Why’s” and physically by the therapy itself. I particular found the videos of exercises provided to me on a DVD very helpful in doing the exercises daily
