In this introductory lecture presented at the Establishing the Base Workshops, Jeremy Nelson MPT discusses the elements of Structured Motion.

Structured Motion is the synthesis of the field of Structural Dynamics and human kinesiology. Structural Dynamics is the work of Robert Fritz and his colleagues. Their 30+ years investigation of how structure gives rise to patterns of behavior have been successful translated to organizational design, business development, and the performance improvement. The resulting innovation have continued to influence Fortune 500 companies as well as the fields of medecine, biotechnology, manufacturing, and education.

Through the application of structural design principles we have developed a clinical operating system that can be applied to all forms of rehabilitation and sports performance.

Performance is more than just good execution…

Performance is made up of two elements:

Execution and Design.

Which is more important?

Design.

Other principles of Structured Motion:

  • Structure determines function
  • Structural tension as taught by Robert Fritz
  • Hierarchy of elements

Applied to improving function and sports performance:

  • Mobility is primary to stability
  • Tri-planar movement is primary to biplanar movement
  • Hip is primary to any other joints

Knowledge is just the beginning…

Knowledge is power.

But knowledge without structure is simply information. Knowledge can be applied to cause changes to happen. Changes that will positively benefit your clients body, invovlement in life, and way of living.

Structured Motion creates consistent and predictable improvements in everyday function and sports performance.

Our workshops are rigorous professional development courses that will provide you the knowledge, skills, and expertise to take your current

knowledge base and apply it in the most effective and efficient ways possible.
